BIKE
|
10th Anniversary Bike For LifeThis year marked 10 years since the initial Bike for Life, with Rev. Nabil Nour leading the charge. Approximately 30 riders participated in this year's event. WOW! That's the most riders yet, with riders from all over the state, including Rapid City, Platte, Yankton, and Sioux Falls. A welcome addition was a group of riders that tackled the strong southerly winds from Watertown and Brookings areas for quite a distance and later drove down and joined Pastor Nour's group at Parker, finally reaching the destination of the Alpha Center by 6:30 pm where the participants were heartily welcomed with shouts of joy, prayers of thanksgiving and food for nourishment. A big thank you to those who participated in any way - riding their bikes; providing food, water, and snacks; or being support drivers, encouragers, prayers, contributors, etc. It was and is much appreciated. Above all, we thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for giving us the strength that we need to exalt His name and defend the unborn. Over the last 10 years, by the grace of God with the aid of the Alpha Center (Crisis Pregnancy Center) and the ultra sound machine, we know that over 2000 babies have been spared from the slaughter of abortion and over $60,000 has been raised to keep this ministry going and promoting the precious gift of life. It is Pastor Nour and LFL of SD's prayer and hope that we will surpass last year's amount of $10,205 so we can now help the Alpha Center purchase another ultra sound to be used in the Fleet For Little Feet, a crisis pregnancy center on wheels, to visit other cities in SD. We invite you to give a gift of life and love. Make your tax-deductible gift out to SESD Lutherans For Life (write Bike for Life in the memo), c/o Pastor Nabil Nour, PO Box 158, Armour, SD 57313-0158.

"MAKING ABORTION UNTHINKABLE" TRAININGS
|
Even though the November elections are over,
much educating needs to be done regarding the horrors of abortion. If
your organization or group did not get a chance to use the training
materials "Making Abortion Unthinkable: The Art of Pro-Life Persuasion",
from Stand to Reason, we invite you to obtain a copy from LFLSD and go
through the training. This training is an engaging, easy-to-follow,
well-reasoned, "plug and play" seminar with all you need to train a group in
the art of pro-life persuasion. Contact Lynette Auch, 605-364-7318, auch@ifriendly.com to borrow a copy today. |
